The key difference is feedback: 2-way systems like The Guardian offer interactive dialogue, essential for real-time control and monitoring, whereas 1-way systems deliver data in one direction, from satellite to ground for services like GPS.

Our devices use the Iridium 2-way satellite network, giving you monitoring and control of connected devices when beyond cellular range.  With other systems that use 1-way satellite, you lose monitoring and control capability when beyond cellular range.

Iridium’s unique constellation of 66 Low Earth Orbit satellites makes it the only network that covers 100% of the planet. Satellites are cross-linked to provide reliable, low-latency, weather-resilient connections that enable communication anywhere in the world. Something that high orbit Geostationary cannot perform as well.

Global 2G/3G4G LTE Cellular Communication

Our devices use 2G/3G/4G to ensure compatibility in 142 countries, including the Bahamas. While some systems claim to work in the Bahamas, they fail to mention only where 4G is available.  Some islands and locations around the world still use older cellular technology.

Beyond monitoring, our TMG 2.0 solution can remotely control your connected devices such as lights, bilge, alarm or even shut off your engines – seamlessly in cellular or satellite coverage.  Most other systems that claim control, can only do that if in cellular range.

Security

Most other systems offer a motion detector, which only work inside the cabin.  Our devices provide 3 layers of security for the strongest protection in the industry.  First, the infrared beam is designed for exterior use and is perfect for an open boat like a center console.  Strategically placed at the helm or another entry point, your electronics and gear are protected by the invisible security beam. Second, the door or hatch sensors protect cabins, engine rooms and stored gear.  Third, a theft fence detects boat movement. If any sensor  is triggered, the 125db alarm is sounded and you get notified via voice call or text.

Siren

The ear piercing 125-decibel siren has 9 distinct sounds, it’s comparable to a jet engine at take off and far higher than nationally recognized industry standard suggesting 85 decibels. Hear it in action.

The small footprint of the TMG control unit and sensors make it easy to conceal on any boat.  There are no large wireless or repurposed home home security sensors to be found with our system.
